TUESDAY: Wildlife Sightings Abound and Yellowstone River

Today we ventured around the entire upper portion of the Grand Loop, taking on the full circle of the top of the figure eight.  The wildlife was truly magnificent as were the views. What an awe inspiring experience to witness such majesty. Bald Eagle. Grizzly. Bull Elk. Osprey (and nest). Ground Squirrel. Black Bear. Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Incredible vistas. Amazing day. Grateful. A few best shots below.

MONDAY: Yellowstone: Mammoth Hot Springs & Wildlife

So Monday was an awesome day, we journeyed into Yellowstone from the west entrance. we are now staying in West Yellowstone Montana. Today we did the North east corridor of the figure 8, the Mammoth Hot Springs Country. Great scenery, almost other worldly. And we witnessed mountain goats scaling rock on high, and one baby suckling on mom and saw the resident elk family of mammoth. it was incredible and a privilege to see so many animals just in their natural setting doing their thing. highlight photos posted below.

SUNDAY: Grand Tetons Mostly

So after a travel day on Saturday, we arrived late in Jackson Hole and awoke to a dense fog over the Grand Teton range that made for some cool pix. It lifted quickly. we spent most of our day looking for our first sightings of wildlife, and had a few great ones. The weather is mostly high 70's, nice. Had a storm over the Tetons that was cool to watch. Below are some of my favorite shots.
